You hardly have time to read lengthy novels. I don’t have time to write any.

So: It’s time for No Time For Novels. A few years ago, Michael Bukowski began writing the No Time for Novels series, a completely unsolicited project he published on his own while single-handedly doing everything possible not to market it. Thanks to this the project maintains its independent status and street credibility – its seven installments being available only at a limited number of exclusive locations in Berlin. The installments are released semiannually – the 8th of which being set for a December 2008 release. The first English edition is a compellation of selections from German installments 1 through 5.

Sorry New York, we almost forgot ...
Early in 2008, Mr. Bukowski decided that New York had been in waiting far too long for the English translation of the No Time for Novels series. This was reaffirmed by Carissa Champlin, an American whom he had met in Berlin. The two teamed up and got to business on the project sensing, of course, its great urgency and demand. For years „Berlin“ has danced about in the American media as little more than vague hype, many hearing what a cool city it was supposed to be with few knowing exactly why. But now, thanks to No Time for Novels, readers are discovering all the random nonsense that can, and so often does, transpire in Berlin.
